The vessel is made of stoneware and wild clay glaze and minerals foraged by the artist from Bristol and the Isle of Wight in the UK.
This bowl explores the relationships between two types of clay. As clays have their own qualities and characteristics, when brought together, the clay either cooperates with or resists its neighbour. The tension between these two materials is revealed over time through fissures and cracks that run through the bowl.
