This plate is made of sandstone from India.

Part of the “Sharing Plates” series from Katharina Dettar and Stine Keinicke. Each piece is made out of stone scraps, that have been rejected due to its cracks. The already existing cracks were beneficially used to connect two plates, that can be puzzled together, taken apart and stacked. Each individual plate is different and is meant to bring people together by sharing food.
