Techniques used: shaping and firing.
Working time: approximately 4 hours.
This plate is made from earthenware.
Part of the “Pillow” collection from Tomasz Niedziolka. Each piece has a special pattern to arrange the shape, reminding the rhythms on knitwear. Own prepared clay from various origins, shaped and folded by hand. The pieces are then fired 17 hours in a traditional wood firing kiln up to 1300 °C, where the flame paints each surface individually. Each “Pillow” plate is unique, as unrepeatable as dreams.
