Drifting bowl

Eva Burton

This plate is made of agate, from the Idar-Oberstein stone valley in Germany, and paint.

Part of “The back yard of my house is special” series from Eva Burton. Have you heard of the proverb that says ‘do not play with your food’? This series of dishes are based on the idea that playing is food for our soul. A blend of colour and movement combined with metaphors aim to explore the back yard of our house – our unconscious. Each piece seeks for that ‘welcome home’ feeling, changing the table into a daily playground.
