Brick Bowl

Deborah Rudolph

This bowl is made of old bricks, recovered by Deborah Rudolph at the Lindenberg hotel in Frankfurt, and glaze.

Part of the plates series from Deborah Rudolph with an experimental focus on stone. Looking to save and enhance the natural beauty of the stone, each piece is sculptured in a unique way. While the Lindenberg hotel in Frankfurt was renovated, Deborah Rudolph recovered bricks from the old walls of the house. The bricks were drilled and glazed, allowing the bowls to hold liquid and not lose a drop.
