This cup is made from earthenware.
Part of the “Dancer” project from Tomasz Niedziolka. Each piece is an object with it’s own movement, reminding real dancers in rotation. Own prepared clay from various origins is thrown on the potter wheel and later broken out of the vertical orientation with one gesture. The pieces are then fired 17 hours in a traditional wood firing kiln up to 1300 °C, where the flame paints each surface individually, giving an unexpected result.
